First Monday of May means… the Met Gala. This year’s theme was Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination. Let’s have a look at what the lucky ones came up with! Here’s my 15 best dressed.
Last week, the Palme D’Or went to Ruben Östlund for The Square. But it’s time for us to take a look back at the gorgeous looks we got to see on the red carpet (or rather, the red steps – les marches).
So on Monday, the Met Gala happened. For A-listers, this is the place-to-be. For us, mere mortals, it is the opportunity to appreciate really extravagant fashion. This year’s theme? Rei Kawakubo/Comme des Garçons. Rei Kawakubo is a Japanese avant-garde designer. So this promises us a bunch of interesting looks.
As you can imagine, I was really excited to discover the looks worn by the rich and famous on Tuesday morning 🙂
Here’s my top 20! Continue reading “Met Gala 2017: My Top 20”
Yesterday, the Grammys took place in Los Angeles. As you know, I’m a huge fan of awards show. I love watching the red carpet arrivals and gushing over the beautiful artists in gorgeous outfits. And I always find that the Grammys are a bit more extravagant than the other ones (Golden Globes, SAG, BAFTA, and the Oscars). So it’s always interesting to see what the musical scene is coming up with… fashion-wise 🙂
Let’s have a look at my top 10!
10. Nicole Trunfio, in Zuhair Murad
How have you been ? In this post, I’m going to show you two celebrity looks I liked this week. I think I’m going to make this a regular section in my blog. It can be a great source of inspiration, and it’s also simply fun 🙂
The first look that caught my eye is from the gorgeous Chrissy Teigen. She wears flared jeans with a super cute sweater. I think this look is quite à propos, since in my last post I told you about the 70’s revival 😉 And I must confess, I-HEART-FLARED-JEANS !!!! They make your figure look great, and they are more original than skinny jeans. You clearly stand out when you rock a pair of those now. As far as the sweater is concerned, I feel it has a Christmas-vibe to it ; but seriously, how fun is it ?!? Really love the look, and the nice purse doesn’t hurt.
How are you? Are you super-duper-sad about friday’s game? I know I am… And I want to get over it as fast as possible! Lucky me, there’s Wimbledon to make me feel better.
If you know a bit about this mythic tennis tournament, you probably know that it has a very specific dress code. In London, players have to wear an all white ensemble. The organization is pretty strict about it. A couple of years ago, some female players had to change bras because they were not all white. Too much? Maybe, but this dress code is also what makes Wimbledon so epic. And just for the anecdote, this year had also its lot of controversy with the Nike “nightie” dress.
