Books To Read This Summer

I’m a proper bookworm.  Hence, one of the things I love when I go on holidays is to lie on a lounger and read a book for hours in the sun.  This makes me so happy, calm, content.  And to make sure I have a good time, I have my go-to books.

Chick lit.  I’m not gonna lie, this is probably my favorite genre when on the beach or poolside.  I know it’s cheesy and very often quite cliché but I can’t help it, it’s one of my guilty pleasures.  And I have 2 foolproof books, one of which I’ve been reading every year for the past 4 years I think.  I don’t get tired of it and it still makes me laugh out loud.  The other makes me dream of the Hamptons and makes me want to do yoga.

“The Single Girl’s To-Do List” (Lindsey Kelk)

I laugh out loud.  Every.  Single.  Time.  How does it start?  Rachel broke up with her boyfriend and her best friends try to teach her how to be single by making a list of 10 things she has to do.  As I said, it’s funny.  It’s also heartwarming.  And somehow, empowering sometimes.

Tony Awards 2018: Best Dressed

Last week, the Tony Awards took place in New York and if I’m not doing a Best Dressed post, I know that my sister will be pretty mad at me (she is a huge fan of musicals and was quite happy with the Tony for best performance by an actor – she was rooting for the charming Andrew Garfield).  So here we go!

Wishlist 2017

Happy New Year y’all ❤

How did you spend your NYE?  Friends?  Family?  Both?  Still hungover?  What will happen if I tell you everything I ate in the past 2 days?  Will you be sick?  :p  Tell me everything!!!

For 2017, I haven’t really made a list of resolutions.  However, I made a wishlist for the whole year.  Wanna know what it is?  I’ll show you mine if you show me yours.  Okay, I’ll show you mine even if you don’t show me yours.  But it’d be funner if you show me yours too.  I’m just sayin’.

Wishlist February 2016

Hello there,

First weekend of February, so I’ll give you my wishlist of the month.  I don’t know about you, but for me, January always goes by in a sort of a blur: there are the holidays, there are several birthdays, you get back to school/work, for students there is the cramming session and the exams, …. So it’s like the year is actually starting in February, that’s when you can actually try to follow your New Year’s resolutions, get more organized, your routine is getting in place.  Simply put, February is the month where you get your s**t together… At least for me.

So, here’s my February 2016 (aka get-your-s**t-together-damn-it-month) wishlist.

  1.  Burberry Blanket.

Let’s face it.  It’s February.  So just because all the new SS16 collections are now available in store, it does not mean we get to wear it right away.  We’ll probably still need to bundle up for a few weeks, so I guess Burberry would do 😉
