Last week, the Tony Awards took place in New York and if I’m not doing a Best Dressed post, I know that my sister will be pretty mad at me (she is a huge fan of musicals and was quite happy with the Tony for best performance by an actor – she was rooting for the charming Andrew Garfield). So here we go!
So on Monday, the Met Gala happened. For A-listers, this is the place-to-be. For us, mere mortals, it is the opportunity to appreciate really extravagant fashion. This year’s theme? Rei Kawakubo/Comme des Garçons. Rei Kawakubo is a Japanese avant-garde designer. So this promises us a bunch of interesting looks.
As you can imagine, I was really excited to discover the looks worn by the rich and famous on Tuesday morning 🙂
Recently, two awards ceremonies took place: the Governors Awards 2016 and the Hollywood Awards 2016. The former celebrates awards conferred by the Academy’s Board of Governors. The latter is the official launch of the award season.
How are you? I’ve come across three celebrity looks that I really love this week, and I wanted to share them with you.
First look is from Kate Hudson. She wears something that is pretty simple and casual: boyfriend jeans and a white top; BUT she makes the look super chic with a nice pair of heels (Louboutin, y’all!!!!) and she makes the look original with a really cute and bold waistcoat. To me, she is one of the most gorgeous actress, and I think it (partially) comes from her confidence and her beautiful*contagious smile.
