For the past few weeks, it’s been super duper hot. It’s been so hot that it has been barely bearable. You know when the temperature is so high that you have absolutely zero energy? There is no fresh air, even at night, so you don’t get any sleep? And you wake up exhausted? But you still have to get up and go to work? That’s been my routine for a month.
Another tough part is: how to dress? Because all you want to do is laying down by a pool or on the beach in a bikini. But you can’t. If you want to be able to do that, you gotta go to work (as Britney would say: You want to live fancy? You better work bitch). And unless you work as a lifeguard – which I’m not – you have to dress appropriately. Now let’s see what we can do 🙂
You can play with the colours, the prints and the length: pencil skirts, a-line skirts, midi skirts and mini skirts. Pair your skirt with a button-down shirt and you’re good to go. If we don’t wear our skirts when it’s 100 degrees out, I don’t know when we will.
Winter is coming here. Unfortunately, most of us can’t work from home; which means we have to get our asses off the bed, get dressed, and above all, we have to dress work appropriately. This can be a huge undertaking when it’s 0°C outside and when it’s dark when you get out the door. You know what I’m saying?
But just because it’s dark, and cold, and raining, and realllllyyyy difficult to be a responsible adult (ugh!), it doesn’t mean we have to go through all that unstylish. Right? So here are some looks that you can get some inspiration from for the next 2 months of winter – probably 3 if you’re Belgian 😉
Trench coat and pant suit
Nothing revolutionary, but boy it’s pretty! And classy. And empowering. I don’t know why, but anytime I wear a trench (or a long) coat I feel way more confident. Don’t get me started on the pant suit… And if you want to protect yourself from the cold, the coat will definitely do the trick.
How are you doing today? In this post, you’ll find a small selection of pieces if you want to rock one of the SS17 trends, namely the Pink Parade edition. And, let’s be honest, who (like, who) wouldn’t want to wear pink all season long? I love wearing pink (and not only on Wednesday 😉 ). Besides, it seemed to work pretty well for Elle Woods right?
How are you? In this post I prepared a small selection so that you can sport the “Comfort Zone” trend. I love some sequins, and intricate pieces. But sometimes, I just want to wear neutral colours and sleek lines. Something easy and practical – dirty word in fashion, but sometimes that is just what we want.
The trend was seen on several shows during the fashion month: Kenzo, Stella McCartney, Valentino, and Balenciaga.
How are you? I don’t know what the weather is like where you are, but here is purely Belgian weather. It’s rainy, grey, and then there’s a tiny ray of sunshine. Then it rains again. Which means that every morning, you have to get prepared… just as if you’re going to war 😉
In this post, I will show you pieces you can find to rock the military style, one of SS15 trends. I’ve always liked that style. I don’t know if it’s the same for you, but when I wear a military piece, a jacket for instance, I feel more powerful in a way; like I can do anything. I feel stronger strooooonger than yesterday, now is nothing but my waayyyyy. So here are pieces that can help you brave any sh*tty day!
