How are you? Having a good time this summer? As you know, I love reading. Always have, always will 😉 A few years back, I wasn’t a huge fan of non-fiction but for the past couple of years I’ve really been enjoying this genre. So I prepared for you a particular list of non-fiction books. As you probably guessed by the title of the post, these are non-fiction books written by celebrities. In the list, there are some books I already read (and enjoyed – I read some others but didn’t them as much) and books I want to read.
I’m a proper bookworm. Hence, one of the things I love when I go on holidays is to lie on a lounger and read a book for hours in the sun. This makes me so happy, calm, content. And to make sure I have a good time, I have my go-to books.
Chick lit. I’m not gonna lie, this is probably my favorite genre when on the beach or poolside. I know it’s cheesy and very often quite cliché but I can’t help it, it’s one of my guilty pleasures. And I have 2 foolproof books, one of which I’ve been reading every year for the past 4 years I think. I don’t get tired of it and it still makes me laugh out loud. The other makes me dream of the Hamptons and makes me want to do yoga.
I laugh out loud. Every. Single. Time. How does it start? Rachel broke up with her boyfriend and her best friends try to teach her how to be single by making a list of 10 things she has to do. As I said, it’s funny. It’s also heartwarming. And somehow, empowering sometimes.
I don’t know if you know this (if you follow me on Instagram, you might remember), but about a month ago I went on holiday to Dinard. It is a commune on the Côte d’Émeraude of Brittany (it’s also the name of Iwan Rheon’s first album, by the way). And I totally fell in love with that place. It’s cute. It’s charming, The views are gorgeous. I’m sure that some of you might not agree with me, thinking “what’s the big deal?”; but I absolutely loved it and honestly I can’t wait to go back.
Let’s reminisce about my (too short) trip over there and let me know what you think 🙂
Have you recovered from too much eating (leftovers included), drinking, and not enough sleep? 🙂 I hope your first week back to work/back to school was not too hellish!
After over the top outfits and fancy accessories from NYE, I thought it would be a nice idea to go for a more understated look. I’m a girly girl, and If you read some of my previous posts you know that I ❤ ❤ ❤ sequins and glitter. But right now, after all these shiny looks, all I long for is a minimalist, simple, and comfy look in neutral tones. And what’s more comfy than a cosy knitted sweater? 🙂
The holiday sweater. No piece of clothing has ever sparked so much love and horror at the same time. At least, between November and January. If you type these two magic words into Google, you get a variety of images; ranging from cute to fugly, and including dorky and funny ones. (Seriously, you have to try it!)
Why so much interest? One of my favorite things in the fall, and I think it’s the same for a lot of you girls, is that I get to wear all my cosy, comfy, warm knitted sweaters. Pure happiness. The holiday sweater is all that and more! It’s the same, but during the holidays. In other words, it’s happiness²… ❤
