Are you feeling post-wedding blues? Because I am. Is it weird? As 3 billion other people, I spent my Saturday in front of the television to watch the royal wedding, and I don’t regret it for a minute – after all, I grew up watching Disney movies. Now I want the fairy tale moment to last a little bit longer so I gathered here some of the best photos from the beautiful day.
Yesterday, the glamorous Venice Film Festival ended. La Mostra Internazionale d’Arte Cinematografica awarded the movie “The Shape of Water” the Golden Lion; and Charlotte Rampling received the Copa Volpi for Best Actress for the film “Hannah”. But what I’m particularly interested in here (I say here, because I’m a huge fan of movies, but maybe you kind of knew that… ) is who were the best dressed?
This week was Couture Fashion Week. Let me repeat. Couture. Fashion. Week. Put another way, it’s Dreamy-Gowns-OMG-I-Am-Dying Fashion Week. In this post, I selected for you my favorite looks of my favorite designers. For some (yep, you know it — Elie Saab and Zuhair Murad), I could have showed you the whole runway!
I’m also really excited to see who’s going to wear these beauties at the future awards shows 😉
Let’s have a look at the crème de la crème of Couture Fashion Week. All pictures are from Vogue.
So, a couple of weeks ago someone asked me what my dream dressing room looks like. And it got me thinking about some “famous” dressing rooms. My first memory of a dreamy dressing room is Jenna Rink’s; aka Jenifer Garner in 13 going on 30 (remember that movie?). And then, Mia’s in the Princess Diaries. And finally, Blair Waldorf’s. Just so you know the level I’m at right now.
These fabulous dressing rooms make me want to invest – some day – in a gorgeous one for myself. Even more so that I’ll probably get my own place pretty soon. Obviously, I won’t be able to afford a huge apartment right away but that won’t stop me from dreaming and imagining my perfect space for when I’m a real grown-up 😉 (wait, shouldn’t I be a real one by now?) Paris. Fashion week. Haute couture. Probably the equivalent to “Oh my God! This is so beautiful, get outta here!” (Or “Shut the front door” as James Corden would say). Every single time, I’m blown away by the stunning and dreamy dresses. It’s not necessarily about being wearable, it’s about designing beautiful, heavenly, out of this world looks. At least, that’s the way I see it.
For each show, I selected my favorite looks. And I must admit that for some (I’m looking at you Elie and Zuhair), it was really hard to choose… (All pictures are from Vogue).
Sorry for the late post, but I’m currently in China and things have been pretty hectic! I hope everything is great with you…
The 73rd Venise Film Festival started on August 31st and closed a few days ago. You know how I love festivals and other (award) shows where actresses and other public figures make us swoon with the most gorgeous dresses. Well this year was no different, so now is the time to take a look back at the best looks we saw on the red carpet 🙂
