In less than a month, I’ll be on vacation in Dinard. I went there last year and totally fell in love with that city so we decided that we’d go back this year. I might be counting the days till our trip. And I might already be packing in my head.
Like most people, I hate packing (although the absolute worst is unpacking but that’s an whole other story); packing is always a pain but there are some easy parts: there are three things that I systematically take with me. Continue reading “Three Things I Always Pack For Trips”→
I live by that motto. A typical Sunday for me looks like this: I wake up late. I go to the gym (yes, I am that courageous). I have lunch. And in the afternoon: I. Do. Nothing.
When I was a kid, I used to hate Sundays because it meant that the next day I had to go to school. So basically, I enjoyed only half of my weekend which is kind of sad when you think of it. Now I have learned to like love Sundays. I don’t know what or when it changed, maybe it’s when I started working. When you’re still studying, you can’t really spend your whole day doing nothing without feeling guilty (or was it only me?). Now, that problem has gone away… most of the time. I’m a proper bookworm. Hence, one of the things I love when I go on holidays is to lie on a lounger and read a book for hours in the sun. This makes me so happy, calm, content. And to make sure I have a good time, I have my go-to books.
Chick lit. I’m not gonna lie, this is probably my favorite genre when on the beach or poolside. I know it’s cheesy and very often quite cliché but I can’t help it, it’s one of my guilty pleasures. And I have 2 foolproof books, one of which I’ve been reading every year for the past 4 years I think. I don’t get tired of it and it still makes me laugh out loud. The other makes me dream of the Hamptons and makes me want to do yoga.
I laugh out loud. Every. Single. Time. How does it start? Rachel broke up with her boyfriend and her best friends try to teach her how to be single by making a list of 10 things she has to do. As I said, it’s funny. It’s also heartwarming. And somehow, empowering sometimes.
First of all, happy holidays 🙂 I hope you’ll spend this time surrounded by friends and family ❤
So, work has been crazy for the past weeks (months?) and I have been really (like, reeeaaallllyyyyyyy) looking forward to having this week off. So much so that I have been planning what to do during this holy moment for some days now. As much as work is my priority, I believe it is extremely important to take some time for yourself from time to time. And that’s what I’m gonna do this week 🙂 Here are some ideas on how to reward yourself this week (or anytime for that matter, because you should!):
I don’t know if you know this (if you follow me on Instagram, you might remember), but about a month ago I went on holiday to Dinard. It is a commune on the Côte d’Émeraude of Brittany (it’s also the name of Iwan Rheon’s first album, by the way). And I totally fell in love with that place. It’s cute. It’s charming, The views are gorgeous. I’m sure that some of you might not agree with me, thinking “what’s the big deal?”; but I absolutely loved it and honestly I can’t wait to go back.
Let’s reminisce about my (too short) trip over there and let me know what you think 🙂
