Sorry for the long absence, but work has been a b**ch lately and I couldn’t find a single moment to stop and write something down. I’m glad I can do it now and connect with you again after this delay 🙂
So last week I got back from an a-ma-zing journey in Japan. I started with Gifu, I went to Kyoto, and finished with Tokyo. I’ll show you some pictures of these great cities, starting with the first one I visited.
I know that if I ever have the opportunity to go back, I will jump at the chance! And if you think of going there: stop thinking about it and just go!!! You will not regret it. The people are super sweet and extremely respectful. The views are simply stunning. And you have great food. What more could you ask for?
In Gifu, the main sightseeing sports are: the Gifu Castle, the Mt Kinka Ropeway, the Gifu Park, the Gifu Great Buddha, the Cormorant Fishing on Nagara River. I could not see the latter, because the fishing stops after October 15. But I had a view of the Nagara river from my hotel room, so that’s nice 😉 I also saw (from veryyyy far away) the Gifu Castle. At night, it looked great cause the Castle was illuminated. But I think that the highlight, for me, was the Kawara-machi area. These are old-fashioned Japanese houses. It was like I was in the Geisha movie. Now they have trendy cafés built in the traditional townhouses. I drank a cup of coffee in what of these cafés. Two tables away were girls dressed in the traditional geisha outfits. Unforgettable.
Now, when I think of Japan, I think sophistication and elegance. Just have a look and let me know what you think.
So, what do you think? Nice, huh? Have you ever been there? Where did you go?
